An Irish girl on the autism spectrum has given the world a gift with her version of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah. Kayleigh Rodgers, a 10-year-old, who gave this knockout performance at Killard House School, a special needs school, in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland. Leonard Cohen died in November. I can only imagine his delight at this rendition of his lovely song. Killard House posted on their website “We are all so happy that our singing has helped to make Christmas a little more special for so many people around the world.”
The Art of Autism wishes everyone a wonderful holiday season.
This was absolutely beautiful. Bought a tear to my eye. I have three of 7 daughters on the spectrum. The youngest also has Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy, and attends a special school in Brisbane, Australia.
Thank you for sharing this. Merry Christmas to you all.
