Month Themes for Submissions to the Art of Autism

Priority for submissions in these months are topics related to international and national days and months.

Here are some days and month themes for submissions by month.

January 20 is International Day of Acceptance

February is Black History Month. See our Black History Month section here.

Week of February 14 Random Act of Kindness Week – The Art of Autism accepts blog posts, art, and poetry with a kindness theme.

February 18 is International Asperger’s Day

March is Women’s History Month. The Art of Autism has an annual art contest featuring art inspired by famous women in history.

April is Autism Awareness/Acceptance Month, Celebrate Diversity Month and National Poetry Month – themes of Autism Acceptance, diversity and poetry take precedence.

April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day.

April 15 is World Art Day

April 22 is Earth Day

May is Mental Health Month. Blog posts, poetry and art about mental health take precedence.

May 18 is International Museum Day

May 21 is International Day of Cultural Diversity

May 25 is Geek Pride Day

June 18 is Autistic Pride Day. During the week of June 18 we take autistic pride submissions.

September 21 is World Peace Day. Throughout September the Art of Autism features art and poetry with peace themes. Email [email protected] for submission guidelines.

October is National Disability Employment Month, National Disability History Month, National Arts & Humanities Month, and National Anti-Bullying Month The Art of Autism takes submissions on any of these themes.

November is National Caregivers Month – we would like to hear from caregivers.

Nov. 1 is Autistic Speaking Day

Nov. 13 is World Kindness Day

Nov. 15 is America Recycles Day

Dec. 3 is International Day of Persons with Disabilities
