LightSpace is an online-only art gallery. It was created to help support artists during the Covid-19 pandemic by offering a virtual way to sell and show artwork. The gallery is owned and operated by an autistic woman, Rebecca Giles, and is committed to representing artists with disabilities. The artwork displayed in LightSpace Gallery has a wide range of different styles, techniques, and subject matter.
Rebecca Giles is a still life painter working in oils and mixed media. She explores light, color, luminosity, translucency, and reflection through her poetic images, often incorporating text into her artwork. Her work has been shown in the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, the museum of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, ArtSpace99 Gallery (New York), InLiquid Gallery (Pennsylvania), The Palette & The Page Gallery (Maryland), Moorestown Gallery (New Jersey), and MAC Gallery (Pennsylvania).
