Giving Tuesday 2021

Despite Covid, in 2021 The Art of Autism nonprofit continued our mission to empower autistic people and their families through participation in the arts.

Our goal in 2022 is to hire an Executive Director.

Your Giving Tuesday donation will support our mission and help us to our goal of sustainability.

Here are our accomplishments in 2021 by month:

In February, The Art of Autism set up a place on our website for Black History Month.

In February – April, The Art of Autism collaborated with students at Central Washington University for the Autism ArtSong Project. Poetry by autistic poets on our website was the inspiration for original musical compositions.

In March, The Art of Autism hosted online our 3rd Annual Women’s History Art Contest.

In April – July, fourteen Southern California artists were featured at Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) for “Color of Sound” exhibit.

In 2021, The Art of Autism paid over 50 autistic bloggers and artists and we were designated as a top autism blog by many entities. We are grateful for our contributors.

In 2021, we added two new board members, Marcelle Ciampi (Samantha Craft) and Nancy LaTurno. We are grateful for the governing service of our board members; 1/2 of who are autistic.
