A Month on the Spectrum at Curious Cup in Carpinteria
On May 12, 2012 in conjunction with the Carpinteria Open Studio Art Tour there will be a book signing from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the Curious Cup Bookstore, 929 Linden Avenue, in Carpinteria, California, of three books including the new book and second in a series The Art of Autism: Shifting Perceptions by Carpinteria author Debra Hosseini, Unintentional Humor: Celebrating the Literal Mind by Linda and Brent Anderson from Ventura, and Quirky Yes, Hopeless No, Practical Tips to Help Your Child with Aspergers co-authored by Santa Monica author Beth Brust. All three authors are parents of children on the autism spectrum. In addition to the book signing there will be poetry and book excerpt readings from self-advocates on the autism spectrum and others. We will also feature a live art performance by Fallbrook artist Joel Anderson. The Art of Autism art exhibit at the Curious Cup will run from May 1 – May 31 and will feature local and international artists on the autism spectrum.
